LIKES: Playing the dulcimer (A stringed instrument used in medieval times) which is something she cannot do in her gargoyle form with the talon-like claws that she sports. Emerra was known to be a beautiful dancer, famed during Galas and formal Balls. No matter what form she has, she seems to know how to move her body in the most graceful of ways, even learning how to do a form of sky dancing. The once princess has a soft spot for cats, once having a beautiful pure white cat named Micah. 

 

DISLIKES: Once upon a time she loved the feel of sun on her skin and how it lit up the world, now she hates when daylight approaches. Her avoidance of the sun stems from her curse, when the sun comes over the horizon, she will turn to stone, thus becoming vulnerable to shattering. Being a princess, she has always been treated with the utmost respect, so when someone calls her a derogatory word, she can fly into a rage. Upon escaping her nanny's clutches at a festival she stumbled upon a dead man being devoured by rats, since then she is paralyzed at the sight of rodents. 

 

UNIQUE SKILLS: The members of the Royal Family all have a special ability, to detect gemstones. Each different gem holds a different kind of magical power and she can not only find them, but can amplify the strengthen the effects.

PERSONALITY: She is a graceful creature, poised and elegant, even when she is kept away from human society she cannot let go of her mother's teachings. Her mother trained Emerra, as an heir to the throne, that she must always act as if she is being viewed by the court. The cursed princess can be hot-tempered and dangerous when provoked.

GENERAL BACKGROUND: As the first born daughter of King Gregor and Queen Ophelia, Emerra was in line to inherit the throne. Royalty in other kingdoms greatly desired to marry her with reasons that extended to her looks, her powers or because of how large and prosperous the kingdom of Arsomina was. Emerra had many a choice for suitors, but her parents were always trying to convince her to wait for a truly powerful ally to marry, which she did out of respect. Her younger sister Himila, jealous of Emerra’s graceful beauty and position in the family, enlisted the aid of a villainous Warlock. The Warlock was known far and wide for his transformation abilities, and it was the desire of Himila for her sister to be something that none would desire her as. With the simple path of turning Emerra into a toad or snake, he changed his mind after kidnapping her. Wanting the princess for himself, he transformed her into a gargoyle. The form of the gargoyle served to accomplish a few things, it would make her undesirable to most humans and it trapped her close to his castle. Cursed to change into stone during the day, she would be unable to get far enough to escape the Warlock. Once a week strangely enough she was able to change into a human woman when she awoke from her daytime stone prison, reverting back to gargoyle form an hour before the sun could rise. It is her hope that she might be rescued one day, as his spell prevents her from harming him herself.
