LIKES: Haylee has always been a hugger, loving the feeling of sharing a special moment between two or more people. She has always had a soft spot for children and animals, especially if they tend to lash out (mostly because they are angry at the world). She loves nothing more than to try and soften their hearts, no matter how long it takes for her to break through. She loves to read aloud, especially to her pregnant belly. DISLIKES: She has never liked pickles, finding the texture gross and weird. Yet, the thing she craves most during her pregnancy is pickles (although thankfully nothing else with them). Although she does not agree with abortions, she believes that women have a choice, and will berate the people who shame those who might not have an alternative.

GENERAL BACKGROUND: Haylee has been a part of the foster system for as long as she can remember. Her mother had died of a brain tumor when Haylee was five and her father was nowhere to be found. She remembers flashes of her mother, but nothing concrete. She has been moved a few times in her childhood, but was always able to charm her foster parents, especially those with small children of their own. In between foster homes, she would help care for the little ones, telling them made up stories and making up games. When she turned 18, she left the foster care system and went on to get a scholarship to become a veterinarian. She met a man named Steven Hill, who she fell in love with completely. They were incredibly happy and even moved in together in her final year. He was going to a Teacher's College that was connected to the campus of her own University. Less than a month after she graduated, she discovered that she was pregnant. Steven was shocked and frustrated, and worried that her having the baby would complicate their lives, before they could pay off their respective loans. Haylee wants to make it work, but seriously doubts that Steven wants her to keep the baby. Scared of leaving, the young mother does not know what to do....
