OCCUPATION: Puppet Designer at Jim Henson's Creature Shop.
LIKES: Her joys come from what most would see as simplistic; like drawing in a new sketchpad, where most of the pages are clean and blank. Working as the occasional volunteer at a local daycare, she likes to make puppets for the kids to play with, in hopes of reviving a love of puppetry in the next generation. Watching whatever she can find on Youtube relating to puppetry is a great way to be entertained while completing tasks at home.
DISLIKES: Hope can get annoyed when her ideas are discarded only for someone else to take the credit later on when it is used. She might be placated when she is mentioned, but can still inwardly grumble about it. When a deadline is approaching and one of the tech effects suddenly breaks, she has a mini panic attack.
UNIQUE SKILLS: Although she can do all the different sections of designing: technical effects, fabrication, sculpting and costuming. Her specialty is in fabrication, especially when it comes to using fur in the design.
PERSONALITY: Hope is very easily excited, especially when she can work with her fellow creators. She still gets star struck with meeting famous voice actors and puppeteers, having to try and restrain herself from squealing like a kid. She works best in chaos, finding that it keeps her adrenaline up and her brain working at maximum capacity.
PERSONAL MOTTO: "What can I do to push myself further with this project?"
GENERAL BACKGROUND: From the first time her mother sat down with Hope to watch 'Jim Henson's The Labyrinth', she was hooked, guided into the magical world of puppetry. Hope devoted all her time to learning about the Jim Henson Creature shop, the minds behind the company and any documentary she could get her hands on. Even though she was unsure how make a career out of puppet making outside of Hollywood, she still dreamed to work on creature puppets for a living. She caught her break when she was invited to join the Jim Hensons' Creature Shop Challenge Season four (Sadly there is only one actual season). She managed to get to the top three, but even though she ended up in second place, Brain Henson offered to hire her for the following year. Ever since then she has worked on improving her crafting skills.
