LIKES: Sushi dipped in soya sauce and wasabi is her human weakness. She openly listens to boy band music (although this does depend on the specific band). Kira can sometimes be too busy to have to many social outings outside of work, but she  likes to go to hot yoga with a work friend named Sherri.

DISLIKES: Wearing high heels as she is already rather tall. The cheap scented candles, which always smell either funky or too overpowering can make her gag.  Strong hate for witnessing the abuse of animals (online or otherwise), no matter what the species is.

PERSONALITY: Using her intimate knowledge of the sea, she is willing to educate the scientific community and oceanic activists about the world's waters. She is a very curious girl which often leads her to trouble.  She is a romantic who hopes to find a true love, much like what her parents shared.

GENERAL BACKGROUND : Kira is the niece of King Kikerin who rules the Atlantic Ocean. Her father, Adolis, had fallen for a human woman after he had seen her arrest a boatload of poachers caught shark fining. (Cutting off the fins of sharks and dumping them back into the ocean). What had started as admiration for the human female turned to love as he continued to watch her. Breaking one of the biggest taboos, he transformed into a human male to pursue her for a time longer than one moon cycle. Adolis did not care until he found out that Karen was pregnant. He revealed himself to her so that he could convince her to give him the child to raise in the sea. Mermaid infants were unable to breath air for their first sixteen years. Karen was devastated, but gave Kira to Adolis with the promise that they would both return when Kira turned sixteen. Kira, who raised as a mermaid, had to adjust to a transition into the human world. She was able to make a life for herself, through she frequently returns home to the sea to see her underwater family and friends. She is unsure where she should belong.
