PERSONAL MOTTO: 'Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it' -Confucius

GENERAL BACKGROUND: Willow came from a very religious family, with very strict parents. They were very involved in their children's lives, even more so, when Willow became a teenager. She struggled with the fact that they closely monitored everything from calls, text messages, school work, her YouTube and Facebook accounts to even the things she was drawing in her sketch pads. When she was sixteen, she went to go stay with her older cousin Jamie, who upon announcing that he was homosexual was kicked out when he was seventeen. Her parents feeling betrayed and angry at her signed her guardianship over to Jamie. At twenty-six, he was more than happy to have Willow stay with him until she was nineteen. Free of the constraints of her parents, she flourished and went to major in Art. She now enjoys using art as an expression to reflect her inner thoughts and feelings. So she may make a remark about political, cultural and economic and other relating issues of social injustice, in a way that will last.
