GENERAL BACKGROUND: Her grandmother was a patron of the Arts and would often take her only granddaughter to the theatre, anything from Broadway to Train Mysteries Dinner theatres. She learned to appreciate the Dramatic Arts and developed a deep love for it. Vanessa practically lives for the theatre now and has a great love for its long and beautiful history. She has worked in several productions at the local theatre during the summer vacation. One of her favorites was Noises Off, to which she had been clearly mentioned in the reviews as one of the highlights of the production. As a professor, she loves to lecture about such topics as Shakespeare, Greek, realism, naturalism, and absurd theatre. Before she was employed by the University, the drama department was not very large, since there were so few students. However, when Vanessa was employed, there was a drastic swelling in the drama student ranks.
